BMW R1250R (2019)
"HE NAKED OF MONACO There is a new naked at the Milan motorcycle and motorcycle show: the BMW R 1200 R 2019 , which, like other BMW innovations at EICMA 2018, changes very little in terms of aesthetics, but very much in substance. All thanks to the new 1250 engine equipped with ShiftCam technology for valve timing and variable lift of the intake valves, which raises the bar in terms of balance and fluidity at low revs, while improving performance. POWER AND COUPLE With the arrival of the new Boxer the displacement in fact passes from 1,170 to 1,254 cc. Power and torque stand at 136 hp and 143 Nm , with a net advantage of 11 hp and 18 Nm compared to the BMW R 1200 R 2018. The seat is 820 mm from the ground, but it can be changed between 760 and 840 mm counting on optional saddles.
THE EQUIPMENT The standard equipment now includes ASC stability control, the assistance system for hill starts and two Road and Rain riding modes , together with the 6.5-inch TFT digital instrument panel. Many other very popular features are included in the long list of extras, which sees for example additional Riding Mode, cruise control, the system for automatic emergency call and the new generation Dynamic ESA suspension with automatic compensation of the load.
THE CHASSIS With a running weight of 239 kg, the new BMW R 1250 R accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds and exceeds 200 km / h. Consumption has not yet been declared by the House. The wheelbase is 1,515 mm, with an overall length of 2,165 mm. The chassis, as in the model 2018, provides the front with a traditional suspension with telescopic fork and at the rear the single-sided Paralever arm .
AVAILABILITY À AND PRICE Available by March 2019, the new BMW R 1250 R makes its debut at EICMA 2018 in the color Black Metallic Storm variants, Exclusive and HP and there is a chance to embellish with paint and components BMW Motorrad Spezial. The prices are expected to slightly higher than those of the R 1200 R 2018 , which starts at 14,250 Euros."
