Harley Davidson LiveWire (versão de produção)

"BEYOND DOUBT In spite of the doubts after the interruption of the partnership between Harley Davidson and Alta Motors , Californian startup that provided the battery pack, the Milwaukee House presented the definitive version of LiveWire , the first electric motorcycle in 115 years of history, just on the occasion of the party organized to celebrate the anniversary. That same bike is now on the Harley Davidson booth at Eicma 2018 and we will take you to consoclare it closely. Autonomy and power? Find out everything in  this live video from the Milan Show.

GROWING Today's LiveWire is very similar to that Concept called Project LiveWire presented to the press in 2014. As a teenager, in four years the bike has changed a lot , completing the maturation process, just as Paul James, director of development of the LiveWire. According to James s words, 1% of the current LiveWire members are in common with the Concept. How to blame him, in 2014 the connectivity between motorbike and rider was in its embryonic state, while nowadays the top-of-the-range motorcycles communicate directly with the latter's smartphone, allowing them to change settings and perform diagnostics. The definitive LiveWire will be extremely connected and interactive, developer's word.

NOT ONLY BYTES LiveWire will not be just chips and circuits. It is true that instead of petrol and pistons there will be batteries and an electric motor, but the chassis will be up to the traditional with premium components like the Brembo four-piston caliper or the fully adjustable Showa suspension . In Harley they have clear ideas: to safeguard the environment without sacrificing the typical emotions of the two wheels.

WHEN AND HOW MUCH The first full electric (the fake tank houses the charging system) will take place from 2019, the date scheduled for the entry into the LiveWire business according to Matt Levatich, CEO of Harley Davidson. The price has not yet been declared but it will certainly be a premium segment figure as can be seen from the words of Paul James who says: "We expect some of the first buyers will be fans of electric vehicles that may not be motorcyclists in this moment, they are the kind of people who want to be the first, they want to be innovative and they do not mind paying for what will be a premium product . " Given the endowment and the information we hold we expect a purchase price around30,000 euros . If the purchase price may seem excessive to you, do not worry, in the future more accessible electric cars, scooters and bikes marked Bar & Shield will arrive."
